Rhinoplasty and chin implant
I think the surgery you are considering would work very well for you. A chin implant would improve the proportions of your face and work well with a rhinoplasty. The risks if the surgery is done properly, are minimal. (Shim Ching, MD, Honolulu Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty and chin risks.
Rhinoplasty and chin risks when done by an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon are rare.
Possible infection of the chin implant is rare and in 35 years of rhinoplasty and chin implant surgery I have had no bleeding, nasal infection or nerve injury. (Toby Mayer, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Candidate for Rhinoplasty and Chin Implant
Physically you’re an excellent candidate for a rhinoplasty and placement of a chin implant. It is important to consider each patient’s motivation and expectations.
Consult with a rhinoplasty specialist to determine exactly what will be done and the risks associated with those changes. (Richard W. Fleming, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty and Chin implant (sliding genioplasty)
Based on the photographs you have posted, it does seem that a chin implant (or sliding genioplasty) would improve the overall balance of your profile.
In these views, it is difficult for me to see all aspects of your nose. Therefore it is not possible for me to make a comment on your nose. However, a consultation with an experienced nose surgeon will help greatly in answering some of your questions. (Ramin Behmand, MD, San Francisco Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty and Chin Implant Candidate
Part of being a surgeon is determining not only what bothers a patient but what a patient likes as well. A consultation would be necessary to determine the aspects of your nose you do not like. If you would like your dorsal aesthetic line refined, then rhinoplasty could readily achieve that. The chin implant could improve your profile if you desire. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs rhinoplasty and chin implant on a regular basis. (Kenneth B. Hughes, MD, Los Angeles Plastic Surgeon)
Excellent Rhinoplasty and Chin Augmentation Candidate
You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty and chin augmentation. You have a very nice nose to begin with.
It can be refined to be a little smaller, more defined in the tip, with a slight curve to the profile.
Your rhinoplasty should be subtle so that you still look like yourself, just a bit better! In profile, if a straight line is dropped from the bottom edge of the lower lip, the line should meet the anterior edge of the chin.
A moderate chin implant augmentation would be nice for you. Risks and complications are rare in the hands of an excellent rhinoplasty surgeon.
The most common risk (from 3 to 10%) is that at some point you may desire a slight revision surgery.
You should consult with multiple rhinoplasty specialists and then choose your rhinoplasty surgeon most carefully. (Michael A. Persky, MD, Encino Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Chin implant will help with your profile. After looking at your frontal view, can make an educated comment on the need for Rhinoplasty. Risks are rare but include bleeding, infection, scarring, asymmetry.
Get a consult to find out more about these procedures and look at before and after pictures. (Mohsen Tavoussi, MD, DO, Huntington Beach Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty and chin implant
You do appear to be a good candidate for both procedures if your goal is nasal refinement and facial harmony. In healthy patients surgical risk is low, but as in all surgery risks of anesthesia, bleeding, infection scarring and asymmetry exist. (Michael L. Schwartz, MD, West Palm Beach Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Good Candidate for Rhinoplasty and Chin Implant?
From the looks of your pictures you seem to be an excellent candidate for Rhinoplasty as well as a chin implant. You may also be a good candidate for Genioplasty surgery which does not require a chin implant. You would need to discuss this with a surgeon who feels comfortable with that procedure. It requires moving the chin bone forward a few millimeters rather than using an implant.
There are many risks and benefits that we can begin to touch on in this forum. I would seek a board certified surgeon in plastic surgery that you feel comfortable with. They will be able to go through risks and benefits with you. (Richard J. Brown, MD, Scottsdale Plastic Surgeon)
Am I a Candidate for Rhinoplasty and Chin Implant? If Yes Whats the Risks?
Aesthetically speaking, from the photos provided, the chin is quite weak. A Chin Augmentation with fillers (I prefer Perlane) or a Chin Implant would balance the entire lower face. The photos do not show a front view of the nose and as such the nasal tip size and width can’t be evaluated.
It’s best for you to have several in person consultations with plastic and cosmetic surgeons that understand and follow the proper aesthetics of facial (and nasal) beauty to discuss Rhinoplasty and the Chin Augmentation. The risks are a less than aesthetic result, and the minor risks of a general anesthetic and surgery in general (pain, bleeding, swelling.all are temporary in nature). (Francis R. Palmer, III, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Yes, if expertly planned and skillfully performed, rhinoplasty and chin implant will be very nice enhancements. The downturned corners of your mouth (in the photo) create an appearance of sadness, or frowning. Consider corner of lip lift also. (Steve Laverson, MD, San Diego Plastic Surgeon)
