Rhinoplasty and chin implant
It is common for plastic surgeons to offer discounts for multiple procedures. I would discuss with your surgeon if they offer such a discount. (Arun Rao, MD, Tucson Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty and chin implant. Can I get a discount for both procedures?
Most offices will offer a multiple procedure discount on the order of 15-25% on second, third, fourth procedures but this is not always the case. You should inquire of your chosen surgeon whether a discount was included in your quote.
With regard to combining a rhinoplasty and chin implant, many people who are initially concerned about only their nose can benefit from both procedures to add balance to their profile. (Stephen Weber, MD, FACS, Denver Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Rhinoplasty and chin implant
Usually, there is a discount for additional procedures done at the same time. There may also be some savings for OR charges and anesthesia charges.
Discuss this with your surgeon. Also, don’t be penny wise and pound foolish. Many of the revisions that I do are from patients that went with the cheapest surgeon.
Think QUALITY. Look for a surgeon board-certified in Facial Plastic Surgery. (David Alessi, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Discount for Rhinoplasty and Chin Implant
It is always less expensive if a patient has multiple procedures during the same operation. The surgeon’s overhead is less and this is passed on to the patient. (Richard W. Fleming, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Chin implant and rhinoplasty cost
Obviously cost is very important – But your discussion with your surgeon seems to have left you “didn’t quite expect” the chin implantProbably worthwhile to get a second consult to review directly with your surgeon or a 2nd opinion.
Then you can choose based on your preference and have better understanding of the pricing in your area. (Travis T. Tollefson, MD, MPH, Sacramento Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Multiple procedures
I can’t speak for other offices but in my offices in BH and OC we frequently discount fees for multiple proceduresDr Corbin (Frederic H. Corbin, MD, Brea Plastic Surgeon)
Multi-procedure discounts for plastic surgery?
Unfortunately, there is no firm answer, except that discounts vary from surgeon to surgeon. Some surgeons discount very little, if at all, while others will give a set discount for multiple procedures, for example 5% off.
The most important thing is to identify the right surgeon for your rhinoplasty and chin augmentation, gently try to negotiate, settle on the fees, and then save up for your surgery. It’s likely better to wait for the surgeon you want, than to move quickly with a surgeon who is a bargain. (Randolph Capone, MD, Baltimore Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Combination therapy
Budgets vary depending on the type of surgery performed and this in turn is determined by physical examination. it is common to perform the same act surgical rhinoplasty and chin surgery. However, the final price of the two combined interventions may be slightly lower. (Jaralampos Giagtzidakis, MD, Venezuela Plastic Surgeon)
Bundling procedures
In general, when surgeons combine procedures they will package a fee that takes into account that the patient is having separate procedures, yet done under one anesthesia and facility fee. Accordingly, it is more common than not that the fee is less than doing each procedure separately (e.g. maybe $8000 instead of $9000). However, it depends on your location and surgeon reputation how much the fees will be.
The most important thing is always going to be quality, so choose a surgeon who can show you photo examples of the combination you are requesting (e.g. rhinoplasty and chin implant). (John Frodel, MD, )
