Thanks for your question. Based on the photo, I think that you have attractive facial features that could be enhanced with some procedures. Seeing other views of the face would be helpful to try and get a better idea of the 3D structure of the face. Having said that, I think that a rhinoplasty would help as would buccal fat removal.

I have never heard of that particular regimen to prep the skin prior to surgery and I am not sure how it would improve your result. Having said that, I think that your question definitely highlights the issue of thick skin and how to deal with it prior to surgery. There are some facial plastic surgeons who will have their patients use accutane before and after rhinoplasty to help improve the skin. This can lead to improved results. Thanks for your question. I would definitely recommend that you discuss with your surgeon. I suspect that your surgeon suggested that you press on the area to see if that resolved the issue. Swelling and scar tissue can be a big issue in rhinoplasty. Thanks for your question. The nose takes quite a while to heal after rhinoplasty. Considering all of the work that needs to be done and all that we do to the nose, the fact that it only takes 12-18 months for it to fully heal is actually kind of amazing!I suspect that you have some swelling and scar tissue that is present. This will almost certainly resolve with time. Check in with your surgeon if you have concerns, because your surgeon knows your nose the best.  Good luck as you heal!

It takes 12 to 18 months for all the swelling to go away and for all the scar tissue to make sure following a Rhinoplasty procedure. There are probably some things that can be done even this late to try and help improve the nasal appearance. This sounds like an odd presentation for rhinoplasty post op issues. If it is related in any way to your surgery, it may be that you are having a sinus infection. I would see your surgeon to get the area evaluated. Your surgeon may refer you to your primary care doctor if it does not appear to be related to your surgery.
