Gap in between laser hair removal sessions?
Time Intervals
May 2, 2017
Thank you for your question! Depending on the area that is being treated with laser hair removal, treatments can be done anywhere between 4-weeks to 6-weeks, or 8-weeks to 12-weeks apart. Every part of the body grows hair at different stages and that’s why some areas are treated 4-weeks apart and some 8-weeks apart, and waiting too long between treatments will give you less effective results.
Can Laser Hair removal raise flat moles?
Possible Scabbing
May 2, 2017
Thank you for your question and sharing a photo! Laser Hair Removal can be performed over moles; however, it does raise the mole since it is pulling the pigment out, therefore, the mole may form a scab that will fall off and eventually get lighter.
If Laser Hair removal did not cause discomfort or burnt hair smell, did it work? How can you tell if it
What To Expect
May 2, 2017
Thank you for your question! You don’t have to be uncomfortable and smell the hair burning for Laser Hair Removal to be an effective treatment. The end goal with Laser hair removal is the edema which is hair follicle bumps that may appear red.
Is it alright to go to the beach while doing laser hair removal treatments?
Beach Concerns
May 2, 2017
Thank you for your questions! You can still go to the beach after your treatment, however your laser technician may not perform a laser hair removal treatment when you come back from vacation. You may have to wait a minimum of 3-weeks to receive your next treatment. The skin cannot be tanned when performing laser hair removal treatments due to the laser contradictions that can burn the skin causing hyperpigment or hypopigment to the area.
Laser hair removal: should I avoid getting hair removal during the summer?
Best Results
May 2, 2017
Thank you for your questions! One of the main contradictions to the Laser Hair Removal treatment is the skin tone; the darker the skin tone the higher the risks of complications with the laser. For the best treatment outcome, make sure to apply sunscreen on the area every couple hours when exposed to the sun. Your laser technician may not perform your treatment if your skin has darkened due to being exposed to the sun for prolonged periods of time, and may reschedule you for couple weeks out...
6 wk Vs 4 wk laser hair removal?
Hair Growth
May 2, 2017
Thank you for your question! Depending on the area that is being treated with laser hair removal, treatments can be done anywhere between 4-weeks to 6-weeks, 8-weeks to 12-weeks apart. Every part of the body grows hair at different stages and that’s why some treatments are 4-weeks apart and some are 6-weeks apart. I treat underarms every 4-6 weeks, and Brazilian 6-8 weeks apart.
I got laser hair removal treatment one month ago and got burnt. Are these scars permanent or these will
Hypopigmentation
May 2, 2017
Thank you for your question and for sharing these photos! The laser hair removal treatment has left your skin hypopigmented, meaning it has lost the pigment in the area. The skin will not re-gain the pigment on its own. You can visit a skincare specialist or dermatologist in your area for treatment options.
I went to get laser hair removal. This is my second year getting it. Will my laser burns scar me forever
Possible Scabbing
May 2, 2017
Thank you for your questions and for sharing a photo! I recommend that you go back to your laser technician, or a skin care specialist for a follow-up consultation. There are different types of laser for hair removal, some are best suited for darker skin tones, however, there is always risks with any laser treatment. From what I am looking at in this picture, it looks more like a scab that may resolve soon. With certain scabs on darker skin types, the skin may hyperpigment (darken) or...

I have acne scars in the middle of my chest between my breasts. What are my best options?
Treatments
May 2, 2017
Thanks for the question! The acne could have definitely been a result of exercising due to the sweat. I’m sorry to hear you were left with scarring! The best treatment for this could be a lightening peel or a BBL laser treatment. You will need a series of both treatments (3-5) to see the best results. In addition to these treatments you can start using a lightening product like a lotion or cream. You might have heard of a commonly known lightening product called Hydroquinone, this can be p...
Should I be concerned and what is the best procedure to get rid of it?
Uncertainty Caused by Blurry Photo
May 1, 2017
Good question! I can’t see very well from the photo you provided. It does look a little large to be a pimple or acne. Also acne is not usually itchy. It could definitely be a bug bite or an allergic reaction. If the itching and redness continues I would recommend seeing your primary care physician.
Ethnic skin, what treatment gives best results without fillers needed?
Skin Care Consultation
May 1, 2017
Thanks for the question! Having ethnic skin will not prevent you from being able to treat your scars. There are many great laser treatment options that can minimize the scars and the appearance of your scars. I would recommend deeper laser resurfacing or deep chemical peels. Visit your local dermatologist or Medical Esthetician they can perform these treatments for you. Of course with any skin type and common in ethnic skin there can be risks and complications, your dermatologist and...
Why won't the little zits on my chin and redness go away?
Good Skin Care Regimen
May 1, 2017
Thanks for the question! There are many causes of acne these can include hormones, diet, lack of skin care regimen, stress etc. I would recommend starting with a good skin care regimen. Visit your local esthetician or someone who can analyze your skin and recommend the right products for your skin. Maintaining a good skin care regimen can help prevent break outs and redness or help to lighten scars with the correct products. If this does not seem to be working the next step would be a...
I am African American and 26 years old what treatment is best for me to gain clear healthy skin?
Skin Care Regimen
Apr 26, 2017
Great question! The best way to start taking control of your acne would be to purchase a full skin care regimen. You can do this by seeing your local esthetician, they can analyze your skin up close and in person and then help choose products that are best for you. To get the best results I would recommend doing some research on medical grade skin care products. It is very important that you are using good quality products that are for acne prone skin. I would also recommend getting regular...
What should I do to cure my irritated acne prone skin!?
Medical Grade Skin Care
Apr 26, 2017
Thank you for your question and photos. I would recommend SkinCeuticals products, this is a great medical grade skin care line. They have many products that can help with your concerns. I would start with a basic skin care regimen this can include the gentle cleanser to reduce any sensitivity you may have from the laser treatments, the microscrub to exfoliate once or twice a week, and a moisturizer. SkinCeuticals has a product called redness neutralizer that can help soothe and draw out the...
