Which first: Facelift, or lip lift and nasolabial angle reduction?
First step?
Mar 20, 2021
The order doesn't really matter. The best approach is to do whatever is the highest priority for you personally. A facelift and a lip lift together would have the most significant aesthetic impact.
Request for a second opinion: Horizontal bands across my neck after facelift and neck lipo, is this
Neck lumpiness after facelift with neck liposuction
Jan 8, 2021
It too soon after surgery to know if that area will completely smooth out although it may. Sometimes after neck liposuction with facelift patients will have localized areas of swelling in the neck which then completely resolve with time. If however there are still localized excess fat, fullness will persist. If that is the case limited localized liposuction would be of benefit. The areas of swelling will definitely at least partially improve with time even if there is some excess fat in the...
Fat transfer automatically included with a facelift to essentially fix a double chin, loose skin on
Fat transfer with cheek neck lift
Jan 8, 2021
There are surgeons that routinely recommend fat transfer to the midface at the time of a cheek neck lift.Although this is not an unreasonable approach it certainly is not necessary in order to improve loose skin along the jawline and front part of the neck. There are pros and cons of fat transfer to the midface. Different surgeons have different philosophies about recommending a fat transfer at the time of a cheek neck lift. The main reason for considering fat transfer for that area would be...
Would a neck and facelift be a good option for a bald guy?
Cheek-neck lift for a "bald guy"
Jan 8, 2021
I have performed cheek neck lifts for bald who shave their heads with excellent results. There is always a concern about the possibility of the scars around the ears showing. This is something to consider carefully for each individual as the type of scars each of us makes it varies. Another option for men would be to directly excise the loose skin in the front of the neck with a vertically oriented zigzag incision. This can dramatically improve the turkey neck although it will not help with...
Would I be a successful candidate for a lower facelift and neck lift?
50 year old woman, cheek-neck lift
Jan 8, 2021
Hi, your skin looks in great shape for 50! Everyone develops some laxity of the skin with aging. You do have enough skin laxity to think about a cheek-neck lift. I also note some fullness in the area under your chin. We will typically perform localized liposuction for this area at the time of a cheek neck lift. Some people who have fullness in that area have fat deeper in the neck that cannot be removed by liposuction. Deeper excess fat can be excised through a small incision under the chin...
Can PDO threads bring my eyebrow down?
Uneven Brow Position
Nov 20, 2020
Hi Jackie!BOTOX. It sounds like botox may be the best bet for you! The frontalis muscle is responsible for raising your eyebrows, by injecting botox here, you may be able to bring that brow down/prevent it from riding up. I recommend you see a licensed and experienced injector, they will most likely be able to correct this for you. Good luck!
Would a facelift benefit me or am I too young for one (26 y/o)?
Too young for a lift?
Jul 7, 2020
Hello, you have a beautiful face. You don't have sagging in the lower face that would benefit from a face lift. A lower eyelid lift performed through an incision on the inside of the eyelid would likely help with the tired look under your eyes. An injectable filler like Juvederm Ultra Plus for the corners of the mouth and over the jaw on either side of the chin may be worthwhile too. Good luck!
What exact procedure do I need? Neck lift, facelift etc.
cheek neck lift
Jun 8, 2020
Hi, you are an excellent candidate for a cheek neck lift! You have good bone structure and other than the skin looseness due to your former weight loss your skin is in great condition. There is a benefit for localized fat removal and muscle band repositioning that would need to be done in the front part of the neck at the time of the cheek neck lift to achieve optimal definition in the angle between the jawline and neck. Different surgeons will use different terms to describe...
I'm an exotic dancer who wants a nose job. How soon can I go back to work?
dancing after nose job
Apr 22, 2020
After 2 weeks you should be fine to work but stay off the pole for a month. You do want swelling to be limited so you are feeling good about how you look!
Is there anything I can do to make my side profile more attractive either with fillers or surgically
profile change
Apr 16, 2020
Hi, a rhinoplasty to lower the bridge of the nose and a chin implant to optimize facial harmony would be considerations. You could also achieve limited temporary improvement with a "liquid rhinoplasty" and a filler to increase chin projection.
Will the fact that I’ve previously had 2 non-surgical rhinoplasties effect the success/results of a
Non-surgical rhinoplasty and future rhinplasty
Apr 15, 2020
Hello, no worries, having a temporary filler placed in the nose for reshaping does not cause a future problem with a rhinoplasty provided the filler has been completely disappeared. Fillers have different durabilities and it is important that your surgeon knows what you had placed and when. Some fillers such as Restylane can be quickly dissolved with an enzyme injection (hyaluronidase) if there is uncertainty about any filler still remaining.
How can I tighten loose skin under chin?
neck lift
Apr 14, 2020
Hi, it looks like you have beautiful bone structure and your skin is very good condition. You do have skin laxity which shows in the front part of your neck. No question that weight gain and loss contributes to this. Although non-invasive technologies, such as Thermage or Ultherapy, can provide slight benefit for some patients, the results are more subtle and less predictable than a cheek neck lift. A cheek neck lift can be performed with oral sedation and local anesthesia in an office...
I had lower face and neck lift 3 weeks 4 days ago in Belgium. Is this normal?
Swelling and lumps
Jun 29, 2015
It is difficult to say without the benefit of an examination. Some gradually improving tenderness and swelling of the cheeks and under the chin is still normal after a month or so. It is not normal to see swelling increasing this far out from your surgery. The lumps under the chin also are concerning considering their size and tenderness. Although mild lumpiness should subside yours should be checked to see if there is infection or localized inflammation ( the latter of which might benefit...
What is the best procedure for marionette lines?
Marionette lines
May 12, 2015
A cheek neck lift would most likely give the most improvement. An injectable filler is still often needed for an optimal result. since you didn't see improvement with Juvederm I would try a filler that can raise up tissue better such as Perlane.
