Hi nazd,There is definitely a lot of healing that still needs to take place. I believe you need to wait until 6 months after the procedure until you see the final shape. How this area will change over the next 4 1/2 months is hard to predict but it will absolutely change. Please have patience and let your doctor know you are concerned about this area. Plan to see him/her back in about 4 months to reassess the final shape and determine if anything needs to be done at that time.Best regards

Without knowing what your doctor did during the capsular treatment and what he saw during the stitch-up it is impossible to advise you what is necessary. The best person to determine that is your doctor who seems to say that removal is necessary. I would follow your doctors advice since he is in the best position to know your condition. Hi pmahajan93,There is no right or wrong answer for this situation and a lot depends on your doctors personal experience with similar situations. A 10 cm lipoma is a pretty good size that will leave a pocket after removal that can fill with fluid. This may lead to complications such as incision separation, infection, or other problems. Hi sakshi17,There are a few options regarding old white burn scar. One option is to remove the strip of white skin and stitch the normal colored skin together. This replaces the white area with a thin scar. This still might be noticeable but less so than the wide area of white skin. Another option I have seen is to have a tattoo artist who does medical tattoos ( like for the areola after breast reconstruction) tattoo the white area with brown pigment to match the color of your natural skin….

As far as the gap, this can also change but it is hard to say without seeing you in person or knowing how things looked before surgery. Hi Anthelle8,A true double bubble means the inframammary fold (IMF) has been lowered too much. It is almost impossible to correct that with an underwire bra. That being said, it is common to have a lot of swelling of the IMF area immediately postop. If you are seeing the effects of swelling, that will get better on its own. Hi Jess,Definitely worth taking a deep breath at this point and try not to panic. There is significant amount of swelling at this point but exactly how much is difficult to say. The most important thing is to give time for your surgery to heal and then determine if the size is too large. Your doctor should be able to reassure you during this time as well. Until you are at least 6 weeks out you cannot know with certainty how much is swelling and how much is the final size.Best regards

There is very little difference in implant size with 20 cc. I tell most people they will be able to tell a real difference between about 50 cc implants. In addition I tell patients that when it comes down to a choice between two similar sizes I suggest the larger of the two. That may help avoid the common “I wish I had gone slightly larger” complaint.Best of luck with your surgery.
