Answer Snippet
How Does V-beam Work with Juvederm or Other Fillers?
Vbeam does not interact with hyaluronic acid fillers
Jun 26, 2011
I agree that the Vbeam laser does not affect the longevity of Hyaluronic acid fillers. One useful application of the Zvbeam is the treating of bruising after filler injection. If a patient bruises after hyaluronic acid injection, I have them return the next day for Vbeam and find the bruising resolves much faster.
Do Most Insurance Companies Cover V Beam for Rosacea?
Insurance usually does not cover Vbeam
Jun 26, 2011
Vbeam works beautifully for the treatment of rosacea associated redness. Insurance coverage varies by state and insurer. Unfortunately, in Massachusetts, where I practice I have yet to have an insurance company cover this treatment. Most patients who pay for the procedure out of pocket feel it is worth the investment.
Will V-Beam Laser Work on Keloids?
Vbeam assists in the treatment of keloids
Jun 26, 2011
Vbeam is often effective at reducing the redness associated with keloid scars. I often recommend that patients do Vbeam in conjunction with injections of a steroid locally to help flatten the keloid as well.
Does V-beam Work for Veins on Side of Nose?
VBeam
May 1, 2011
In my experience, VBeam works beautifully for blood vessels on the side of the nose.  I do advise patients, however, that multiple treatments are recommended for optimal results.  I often find 2-3 treatments are sufficient.
CoolSculpting on Lower Abdomen – Large Handpiece or 2 Smaller Handpieces?
Zeltiq coolsculpting
Apr 22, 2011
Both the larger and smaller handpieces for the Zeltiq often provide excellent results.  The advantage of using the larger handpiece is that the treatment lasts for a shorter period of time.  Many patients however, complain that the larger handpiece is more uncomfortable.   In the majority of my patients, I recommend treating  the lower abdomen with 2 smaller applications.
Can Insulin Dependent Diabetics Get CoolSculpting?
coolsculpting
Apr 6, 2011
It is safe to perform the coolsculpting procedure in patients with diabetes.  I have treated quite a few diabetics with excellent results.
I Had Pixel Laser Treatment and I Look Like a Leopard. Normal?
pixel
Apr 5, 2011
Both redness and brown discoloration shortly after Pixel treatment are common developments.  I often share with patients that redness lasts 3-5 days on average and brown splotchy spots can last a few days longer.  In addition, patients often experience peeling up to 10 days post procedure.
