It’s not possible to diagnose what happened from just looking at your picture, but the way you’re describing it if you were my patient, I would be concerned that I had overdissected that pocket and the graft had migrated. Hi Alexi – obviously we can’t diagnose you from just looking at pictures, but from the pictures you’ve posted, it looks to me like your dorsal hump is too prominent for a liquid rhinoplasty. In my hands, when I’ve attempted to camouflage a hump with filler and it’s quite prominent, the portion of the nose above the hump becomes to prominent. It becomes a very “Roman”, masculinized nose. Tehreem, don’t judge your result just a day or two after rhinoplasty! Let things settle out and trust your surgeon and his staff. Some surgeons don’t use packing at all, some take it out day 1, some leave it in longer, just depends on what they did. Give it time. Good luck!

Jartaega, the supratip area is a notorious problem site after rhinoplasty. Over the internet with just a few pictures I can’t make a good diagnosis. You should speak with your surgeon and let him know your concerns. The bump is very unlikely to go away without some kind of revision. Ice, I can’t give you medical advice over the internet, but I can reassure you that you should listen to your surgeon and his staff. Let them guide you through the postop process. They’re probably worried you’ll ice it too long and embarrass the blood supply to your skin. Good luck.

I’m not quite sure what’s going on, as it’s impossible to make a deformity diagnosis over the internet with a few pictures, but it looks like you may have some thinned out skin that’s showing some scar tissue/cartilage graft/part of the lower lateral cartilage through. Hey Moonlight, good question. Very tough to make a deformity diagnosis based on a picture over the internet, but it looks like you have a nice early result. Your columella will come down a bit and that will decrease the appearance of the distance between your nose and upper lip, but definitely don’t make early judgements, as the swelling is going to come down a lot. Be patient and see how you feel when the splint comes off. Good luck!

If you are noticing a change, you should strongly consider speaking with a board certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon in your area who does a lot of rhinoplasty. Spitting Suture After Rhinoplasty

Chaotic you should listen to your surgeon. It sounds like you have a suture spitting out of your incision, which is not terribly uncommon. It should fall off on its’ own, but you should give strong consideration to seeing your surgeon again to see if he wants to remove it.
Can Rhinoplasty be fatal? I know there is always a risk but is it classed as a dangerous procedure?
