Best treatment for horizontal nasal bridge wrinkle?
Botox can soften this crease
Aug 16, 2022
The static wrinkle on the bridge of the nose is created by the procerus muscle depressing between the eyes. If you inject botox, you will paralyze the muscle and soften that line and prevent it from becoming deeper. If you have a deep static wrinkle there, you will need some type of skin resurfacing to correct that line and stimulate collagen. This would be laser ablation, microneedling, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion. Filler could be dangerous if injected by an inexperienced provider….
Do I need to have Botox around both of my eyes to treat crows feet?
Yes, you can just do your crows feet!
Aug 16, 2022
Yes, you can do just your crows feet, otherwise known as the obicularis oculi muscle. This is responsible for closing the eye. If you can’t close the eye tight then it will naturally relax. Perhaps the injector saw something different and needed to treat the opposing muscle group. It is hard to tell without seeing you in person and how you are animating. There are other areas on the face like the forehead that looks best when it is injected with the glabella complex as well. This is because…
Is it safe to use Botox on the neck area? Platysmal bands
A Beautiful Neck Lift
Aug 16, 2022
It is safe to inject botox in the platysmal bands in the neck. This relaxes the pulling on the neck and helps the muscle to lay down again. There is a risk that if injected into the wrong muscle group it could make the neck flexers weak and the muscles that control swallowing weak. It takes many injections and the amount varies as to how many neck bands that you are treating. Good luck!
Botox wore off in 2 weeks – does that mean it doesn’t work for me?
Unable to answer
Aug 16, 2022
This question can’t be answered without seeing a before you received botox picture at animation and at rest. In addition, it is hard to see post treatment without pictures of you animating and at rest to determine if you need more. The most important rule of thumb is for your injector to set real expectations. You might have some static lines at rest that “look like they are gone” with botox but are just softened. Once you have a static line, botox will soften it but not remove it. That…
Botox and filler while taking wellbutrin?
This is totally safe!
Aug 16, 2022
There are no contraindications to taking wellbutrin and receiving botox injections. In fact, a new study was just released that botox improves depression symptoms. When patients look in the mirror and see themselves and not looking unhappy, it stimulates endorphins and improves their depressive symptoms! So do it!! Good luck!
32 y/o – what procedure should I get for my forehead crease lines?
Botox in your frontal muscle
Aug 16, 2022
I would recommend getting botox injections to relax your frontal muscle. However, your injector will need to make sure that they stay well above your eyebrows to prevent the forehead from becoming heavy and making you look tired. After performing botox, I would recommend some skin resurfacing and rejuvenation treatments to tighten the skin in your forehead and to remove any deep static wrinkles. Good luck!
Lines radiating out from eyes – can this be eliminated with Botox?
Absolutely botox can help!
Aug 16, 2022
The lines that are formed around your eyes is from the contraction of the obicularis oculi muscle. This muscle is responsible for squeezing your eyes shut. If you paralyze this muscle in this area, you will be unable to make those creases. This will prevent static wrinkles from developing. This will help you to age gracefully. Good luck to you!
