Rhinoplasty too old

Never too old for rhinoplasty

You are never too old for rhinoplasty. The exact type will depend on your aesthetic goals and nasal architecture.

Your surgeon will also want to ensure that you are in good health to undergo the procedure but age is not a limiting factor. (D.J. Verret, MD, Dallas Facial Plastic Surgeon)

56 is the perfect age for tip plasty

Many people notice that their tips drop and appear to get larger with age. These are easily correctable problems with the appropriate techniques and the results can be fantastic.

As long as you are healthy and cleared by your internist then you are the perfect age to have those issues corrected in a very safe way. (Jason B. Diamond, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)

Age for tip rhinoplasty

Certainly if you are a healthy 56 year old, and have realistic expactations and reasonable nasal skin thickness, there is no reason you can’t have a tip rhinoplasty. (Richard P. Rand, MD, FACS, Seattle Plastic Surgeon)

Age is not a contraindication for Cosmetic Surgery

Your suitability for Cosmetic surgery is based on your health and your expectations, NOT your age. If you are healthy there is NO reason why you should not be able to correct something that has bothered you for years. (Peter A. Aldea, MD, Memphis Plastic Surgeon)

Rhinoplasty at 56 years: does age matter?

Rhinoplasty too old in what age

Your age is not a limitation. IF you are in otherwise good health, you could certainley consider a rhinoplasty surgery, (Otto Joseph Placik, MD, Chicago Plastic Surgeon)

Born in 1953? Are You Too Old for Tiplasty?

56 is the perfect age for tip rhinoplasty. Many have the false belief that the nose grows as we age. In fact what happens is the support of the nose weakens and the tip drops making the overall nose appear to be larger.

After tiplasty, new fibrous (scar) tissue and suturing support the nose keeping it looking youthful. Tiplasty is great for those born 1953-54. Choose your rhinoplasty surgeon most carefully. (Michael A. Persky, MD, Encino Facial Plastic Surgeon)

Age for Cosmetic Nasal Surgery

Rhinoplasty too old age

The nose, as with other parts of the face and neck, continues to change with age and sun exposure. Typically, the nasal skin thickens and the tip becomes more droopy. Cosmetic surgery is primarily based on physical health, not age alone. Nasal surgery may be performed safely for most individuals. You plastic surgeon will perform a comprehensive evaluation to help determine your eligibility for a facial cosmetic procedure. Speak with a plastic surgeon in your area to provide appropriate options for you. (Houtan Chaboki, MD, Washington DC Facial Plastic Surgeon)

Noses droop as you age

You can have it corrected. There will be an improvement and age has very little to do with having your nose improved. (William B. Rosenblatt, MD, New York Plastic Surgeon)

The key is to have surgery that does not change you too much

Rhinoplasty too old for surgery

As you’ve heard from all the other surgeons who’ve already answered, as long as you are healthy, there is literally no reason why age would be a contrindication to you getting a nose job and in fact we have operated on plenty of patients who are older than you.

You really want to make sure that you spend time with a surgeon who will take the time to hear your concerns and really image you a result you are comfortable with. The reason is that unlike a 16 year old, your self image and identity is more concrete and established and so a great natural result is the key. All the best. (Peyman Solieman, MD, Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgeon)

If you are unhappy with your nose, you are never too old to get it fixed if you are healthy

There is no age cutoff for rhinoplasty as long as you are healthy. The oldest patient I performed a rhinoplasty on was 76. He hit his nose and it caused a deviated septum and nasal obstruction. He always wanted a Rhinoplasty, which I did along with repairing the deviated septum. (Steven J. Pearlman, MD, New York Facial Plastic Surgeon)
